KL (pre-xmas trip)

Went to KL last weekend for a so called "pre-xmas holiday trip" with 2 poly frens + 8 colleagues..

This is the hotel 3 of us was staying (recommended by jeremy) while the rest stay in office apartment:

Heritage hotel. It was a old railway station, about over 100 year old.
and it has a cool lift:-

It's those kind of lift that u see in some Hong Kong movies, with 2 doors, wooden made, and one time can only take max up to 4 persons.. LOL.. so cool.

Outside is cool, but inside the room?

Breakfast:
The next day, Maye (M'sia colleague) brought all of us to this kopitiam at Klang, tried the famous Klang bak kut teh, dun forget the dry version.. :0~~ early in the morning eat so much good food, should do more shopping afterward.. hoho~

Night-out:
After "Alvin and the chipmunks" show, we went to this Bar at trader hotel, somewhere near KLCC. Quite a good place for chill out, and it's open air (so abit hot).

ya it has a swimming pool at the centre of the bar, watch out!

Before heading back:
Last day - Went to Chinatown in the morning as we tot the bus is at PUDU (actually at pasarakyat, damn agency).. tried the special fruity flavour muah chee.. so sweet and chewy, somemore not too sticky ^^

.. As mentioned above, it was a so called 'pre-xmas holiday trip' but in the end, 11 of us didn't celebrate x'mas, didn't do alot shopping (they went back at 4pm.. zz), didn't stay out too late (they went back at 1230am.. zz), didn't go to any fun spots.. so I oso dunno what have we really done in this trip.. LOL

Shall go KL next time with lesser pple next time :)

DON'T deceive by its sunny look & forget about what I told u on the previous entry,
Great Wall was much much much colder! cold, chill, freeze, cool, icy, frost........ can anybody comes out wif a much stronger word to describe the coolness?

if really hafto describe it in solid, it's like thousand of knifes stabbing into ur body..(Again, U need to understd the pain of kena stabbed 1st.. ) if you understd, den can you imagine how the poor soldiers to stayed here year over year?

anyway, TIPS on great wall during winter:
forget abt a tidy hair(below), n dun ever take out ur glove. My hand was freezed n feeling numb within 2 sec after i took my glove out..



didn't enjoy much as I was very tired n cold, but happy with the scenery n photos..


on my way up to the highest point.. erm.. is anybody happen to rem that I SCARE OF HEIGHT?!

day 3

DAY 3 AT SHANGHAI

after seeing the traditional side of this place, let's see the modern side of it..



this is 步行街 (bu xing jie), no cars, no bikes, the only place u able to jaywalk w/o worried of get knocked down in this strange country..

HOW could we leave here w/o having at least one hairy crab? (hairy crab season now)

day 2

DAY 2 AT SHANGHAI

day 1

DAY 1 AT SHANGHAI

1st time tk plane, I actually got nervous when the plane started go up.
you know normally when u go funfair and play those exciting stuff, they alwiz fall down when they reach a certain height. dunno why I actually hoping it to be fallin down. FORTUNATELY it didn't happen.

while reaching Shanghai.

ok.. let's use one word to describe today's Shanghai (to me).

Freezing!

actually expecting the weather to be like.. 15'C, on the plane they announce it was 10'C. but at night, it's 5'C! and i only wearing 2 layers!!!!!

to help u understd the coldness:
let's imagine u standing in an air-con room, n somebody keep pouring ICE WATER on ur face, constantly, non-stop, till the point where u cannot breath.. den u try to geng, ur shoulder n neck stressed, ur hands are numb, ur legs are heavy, n finally u K.O.

anyway, you will never understd until u experience it.

reached hotel is ard 3pm, but outside is already getting darker.
although there's no time diff between Shanghai and Singapore, but 5pm here looks like 6-7pm. Day is shorter during winter days, which is VERY GOOD, truly "the night is still young".

we had steamboat for dinner.
the restaurant was very crowded, but we manage to get a seat after like..30 minutes?

guess what's it.


look like ban mian rite? it's beancurd.

i dunno how to describe the texture, something like noodles? fillin, and it tastes good! in front is the peanut chilli sauce, sounds weird? but it's good.

surprisingly for this dinner, I ate more veggie than meat.
tell u la, the meat here really cannot make it; tasteless and chewy.
the veggie is sooooooooooo good, fresh and sweet (nature), think I really dun mind to become a pure vegetarian here.. muahaha.


Everyone knows Shanghai got beautiful night view rite?
I heard it's much prettier than HK's.. well..*shrug* I nv seen HK's one wht.

FYI, the building light off on 10:30pm everyday. so if u wan to take a full beautiful night scene, camp at a good spot earlier. It was too late when i got there(good spot) so.. these are wht I got.

p/s: heard that the night life here is so so much more happening than SG.
so tempted. I really really wan to go n experience it, but.. not with my bosses of cos *lol*
